Review: A bit oversized shade but wonderful - Very cute! Love the color of the shade, which is turquoise, not blue. I just ordered another. As a bonus, these shades fit ordinary size lamps as well- where are you going to get just even a shade for this price? Only downside is the 40 watt limit seems to be a real one- i tried a 60 watt bulb and the shade quickly got to hot. The base is a nice shiny silver. Heavy enough to stay securely in place but not so heavy its a pain to lift (and I like light weight things). I also like that the on-off rotary switch is on the cord and not up near the light bulb. Note the height given in the description is correct, but that includes when the shade is attached (11 or so inches). the base by itself w/o the shade is about 7-8 inches. Also note the shade is a bit over sized for the lamp - comes down further than the picture shows. but I like it anyway. I dont like the round bulbs(candelabra base) in it that's recommended- weird light, at least the brand i used - but candle-shaped bulbs look great. maakes a good night light too if you want a dim bulb.

**Q: I cant' find the be12 bulbs to go with it, will any 40 watt bulb do?**
A: Any watt bulb will do. I use a 60 watt in mine - just be mindful that the higher the wattage, the more heat. so a 100 watt might be a fire hazard. You just have to make sure they're candelabra bulbs a.k.a. chandelier bulbs which have a tiny base. i use the Living Solutions Light Bulbs Clear 60 Watt Chandelier Flame Tip from Walgreens. $4 for a 4-pack. Lasts forever.

**Q: would these make a good end table lamp?**
A: I bought one loved it so much I bought another. One sits on the kitchen table and the other is behind our bed. The light is small maybe 12" highMy first impression to  small for end table.

**Q: Is the blue shade actually a light blue or more of an aqua?**
A: They are more of an aqua than a light blue. They are not the same color as the picture shows but they are very nice when turned on.

**Q: How do you secure shade without bulb showing**
A: What kind of bulb did you use..because if you have a regular light bulb of 40 watts it won't fit right you have to use the chandelier 40 watts light bulb and if you really want to secure the base of the lampshade u can use electrical tape 4 little strips to secure the base of bulbAMAZON....has the bulbs I need for the lamp in I hope this has help u have a great day
