Review: A Good Start - Beautifully packaged reissue, really good job by Rhino. STP would get better, much better, but this is a strong documentation of stage 1. There's little here that longtime fans won't have already but a complete recording of Only Dying plus a cleaned up Castaic show are worthy. The remaster appears to be almost the same as the 2000 DVD Audio release, well worth having although, as the demos show, the band's sound was already fully formed. All in all, I'm very happy with this and hope we get something similar for all the later and better releases up to 2001.

Beautifully packaged reissue, really good job by Rhino. STP would get better, much better, but this is a strong documentation of stage 1. There's little here that longtime fans won't have already but a complete recording of Only Dying plus a cleaned up Castaic show are worthy.
