Ideal for stains such as; coffee, tea, red wine, fruit juices, jam as well as stains like mildew and mould. Not suitable for: LEATHER, SUEDE, ACETATE/RAYON, CARPETS OR UPHOLSTERY. HOW TO USE IT: WASHING MACHINE: 1. Moisten stain, sprinkle with powder and remoisten. 2. Remove powder after approx. 60mins. For stubborn stains leave for longer, but keep stain wet. 3. Wash fabric as normal. NON-WASHABLE FABRICS: 1. Add powder directly to stain and remove after approx. 60mins. 2. Remove excess powder & dab the stained area thoroughly with a damp cloth. SOAKING: 1. Dissolve all the powder in 7l of warm water. 2. Soak the whole garment for several hours. Then rinse or wash as normal. I have some red wine on an off white/cream jacket same on an off white/arctic white jumper.** A: Spot cleaning can take the colour out of a fabric. However, you might get away with using this prduct in this case. As for a jumper, I have never tried it with a knitted fabric. In any event you should try to dlute the stain with cold water to prevent the stain from setting. Stain Devil can be effective, but sometimes you may need to repeat the process until you are happy with the stain removal.
