Review: The Vitamix info is a little unclear on what parts are compatible with what. I had an older Vitamix "Total Nutrition Center" that as far as I could tell was still compatible with the current blades and containers. However mine had 4 separate rubber covers rather than this one piece pad with the 4 built in. When I bought one of the new smaller containers (not originally available with my machine) it didn't really work with the old style separate supports. So I bought one of these pads - it does fit my TNC era machine and works fine. There is absolutely no description of what it is or does on Amazon.** A: Centers and stabilizes the pitcher/container, so that the spindle inserts correctly in the base of the container. **Q: Anyone know if this fits vm e-320 or vm0197?** A: I don't know for sure **Q: How is it exchanged on the base? Does the old one just lift off and the new one pushed on? How does the ring in the middle come off?** A: Yes the old ones comes off and the new ones goes on. You don't have to do anything with the centerpiece unless you are replacing the bearings. **Q: Does this fit the vitamix 6300?** A: I am not sure.
