You can plug-and-play on Windows 11, and even set it up to use via a virtual COM port.It comes with a booklet of setup codes that you simply scan with the scanner itself to change the scanner's settings. Very easy to use and setup. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A great barcode scanner that is easy to use! *by N***H on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 31 January 2020* The Tera HW0006 barcode scanner is very easy to use right out of the box with zero or little set up required! The build quality is top notch and the scanner feels good in the hand. The scanner can be charged either with the supplied USB cable or with the docking station.The scanner can be used with Windows, iOS, Android and can communicate via Bluetooth, USB cable or the supplied dongle. Different modes of operation are easily programmed by QR codes found in the users manual, you simply need to point the scanner at the required QR code and the unit is set.The handset can store barcodes onboard (Up to 50,000) and these barcodes can then dumped into a word document on the PC simply by scanning the ‘Upload Data’ QR code in the manual. Barcodes are automatically uploaded to the word document open on screen and no extra software is required.The handset can be set (Via QR code again) to upload barcodes directly to your computer as they are scanned by the unit.The scanner is powered up by pressing the trigger and the unit will bleep twice, it will also let you know when the barcode has been read and will turn itself off when left unused for a few minutes saving battery life. I recommend this scanner for easy, accurate entry of barcodes into computers or other devices and I will be making considerable use of this one in the future. ### ⭐ The red light does not tell you where the scanner will read *by L***E on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 8 February 2022* This scanner is solid and has a bright screen and feels like it's going to be an absolute winner.A massive fault is that the red light does not indicate where the scanner is reading.When using the scanner in storage mode, theres a barcode for upload data, an intentional gap (but probably not wise that they are together) and then the barcode to clear your stored data.Yes, you guessed it, at the end of a long days work, your business depending on the data it has collected, you very definitely scan the barcode for upload data (it glows red, theres not mistaking where you're pointing it and you drag the red beam down towards it to ensure you're not going to misfire the inch too low) and the scanner decides to read the barcode that wipes your whole days work!Utterly mortifying!This same difficulty in pin pointing where the scanner is scanning is also an issue for our work orders that contain both a barcode and QR codes.
