**Q: how do I select the color? ie White, Almond, or Ivory**
A: Hi David, No need to select the color. The AB12 comes with all 3 plates so that you can select which one you would like.

**Q: could this be used to mute speakers in a room? Only one amplifier running low volume music in medical office, we want to turn of speakers sometimes**
A: Technically yes. As you are only running one amplifier, pressing the button would switch the input to the 2nd amplifier.  Since you wouldn’t have an amp connected, the speakers would mute.

**Q: Can this do A+B and A or B ?**
A: Only A or B.

**Q: Can you tell which state the switch is in? (which speaker/amp it's toggled to?)**
A: The button appears pressed in on one selection and out on another.  You just have to remember which is which there is no other visual indicator.

I really like this one. Comes with 3 different shades of wall plate and button(white, beige, and a darker beige). terminals unplug from unit to easily connect wiring. Can be used to run one pair of speakers from 2 different sources (one at a time) , or 2 pairs of speakers from one source (one pair at a time). I ran this with 2 pairs of speakers to one receiver on Zone 2. One pair of speakers in my kitchen, the second pair on my patio. All I need to do is press the switch and it seamlessly changes to the other speakers. I like the fact that it severs the connection to the amplifier while switching to the other pair so the amp does not see an impedance jump. High quality switching gear and materials.
