Review: A Great Game Controller With A few Caveats. - The Thrustmaster eSwap X Pro Controller is a great controller for the most part. The one place where it could use a little help is with the joysticks. They wear out a little sooner than some on the market do. Fortunately, there is a really great fix for this! There is a third party part which you can order which you can use to replace the joysticks without having to replace all of the joystick, whether you are using the sticks which came with your Thrustmaster eSwap X Pro Controller, or if you are using one of the colour packs. You can find the third party replacement part on desertcart here: https://www.desertcart.com/gp/product/B09H7PVZMY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The replacement part will also eventually wear out, just as all joysticks usually do, but it will take a lot longer for it to do so. The replacement part will make the joysticks much stiffer, so if you have unusually weak thumbs, you may need to chose a different option. The box which the Thrustmaster eSwap X PRO Controller comes in is really nice, and it's that way for a reason. When your gaming session is done, you should put your Thrustmaster eSwap X Pro Controller back in its box, and fit the stiff foam part over the two joysticks in the way that it originally came. It has a cut-out which fits over the switch controller in such a way that it can't be inserted incorrectly. The purpose of this packing piece is to ensure that the sticks are perfectly centred, and that neither spring has any extra tension on it. This will not only ensure that your joysticks last longer, but it will also ensure that your joysticks will remain tensioned properly even over long periods of time. The eSwap X PRO is both a very high quality controller, but also a rather expensive one too, so you'll want to give it the best care possible. Initially, the Thrustmaster eSwap X PRO Controller is more expensive than most controllers, but if you replace the spring box (the mechanical part only, not the whole joystick), you'll eventually recoup that extra expense by not having to buy a new controller every time the joysticks wear out. The thing to remember is that unless you want to customize your colours, you should never buy Thrustmaster replacement sticks. Always buy the Epindon Thrustmaster eSwap Pro Controller Replacement Stick Module Kit instead (see above link). Summary: If you do not use a game controller very often, then this joystick is probably not going to be for you. But if you use a controller a lot (almost daily) then this is definitely the game controller for you. If you game a lot using a controller, this controller will save you money over time if you use the Epindon Thrustmaster eSwap Pro Controller Replacement Stick Module Kit when your joysticks wear out, especially if you put it away in its original packing after each play session. Find the Epindon Thrustmaster eSwap Pro Controller Replacement Stick Module Kit (pictured) on desertcart here: https://www.desertcart.com/gp/product/B09H7PVZMY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Review: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME. - ***DO NOT BUY*** Rant: This might be the worst hunk of junk I have ever purchased in my life. Not only have I had the stick modules replaced thrice (6 total replacement stick modules) within a span of 4 months, I also had the entire controller body replaced, and I STILL HAD THE EXACT SAME ISSUES. I though I could bypass this issue by purchasing one of their Hall Effect Stick modules, but lo and behold, I had the exact same issues. Sure, I no longer had drift. But the sticks would randomly disconnect. Not the controller. THE STICKS. Randomly disconnecting for up to 10 seconds, or they would go back and forth between the input I was actually putting and no input like 10 times a second. I had this problem with every single stick and with BOTH controllers. I should also add that the Y button and LB both started either double clicking or not registering inputs at all. The second controller did not have this issue, but I have also had it for a lot less time. I purchased this controller in December 2024. It is now the end of July 2025. 7 months and two broken controllers and 8 total broken sticks (2 controllers. 6 normal stick modules, 2 hall effect modules) ALL with some sort of issue that makes it almost unplayable. I should add that I play rocket league and grind it quite a bit. List of issues I had: - Sticks disconnect - Stick drift within 2 weeks - Random inputs - loss of functionality (can ONLY turn left on one stick/no bottom right inputs register at all) - Button double clicks - Bumper inputs not registering - A button broke literally 2 hours after I wrote this review... TL;DR Don't waste your time. Don't waste your money. You WILL suffer. Just get a SCUF controller or literally anything other than this.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ For People Who Love Racing Sims but Hate Setting Up a Wheel
*by K***E on May 6, 2026*

If you love racing sims but don’t always want to commit to a full wheel setup, this controller might be exactly what you’re looking for. I’m a longtime fan of flight simulators and racing simulators. In the past, I used full setups — joystick, throttle, steering wheel, shifter, pedals, the whole thing. And yes, nothing truly replaces a proper wheel when you want maximum immersion. But here’s the problem: sometimes I just want to relax. These days, I often play games like The Crew Motorfest after work. I don’t always want to mount a wheel, adjust pedals, sit in the “perfect position,” and mentally prepare for a full sim session. Sometimes I simply want to pick up a controller and drive. Keyboard controls were never a good solution for me either. They feel too digital for racing games, and after a while my fingers and wrists start getting tired. That’s where this controller surprised me. It hits a really interesting middle ground between a casual controller and a sim setup. Drifting feels smooth, circuit driving feels precise, and even casual highway cruising becomes more enjoyable compared to using a keyboard. What I ended up loving most was the convenience. I can instantly jump into a race with zero setup, then throw the controller aside and go back to real life the moment I’m done. No wheel stand. No cables everywhere. No “Okay, now I need to commit to a 2-hour sim session.” And honestly? After some practice, even Formula 1 games felt surprisingly good on this thing. I know some people will say: “At this price, just buy a wheel and pedals.” I understand that opinion — I’ve owned those setups too. But after using both, I think this controller absolutely fills a niche that many people overlook: People who love racing games, want better control than a keyboard, appreciate precision and comfort, but also value simplicity and convenience. For that purpose, this controller is excellent. I’m very satisfied with it.
