Review: Make Home Theater moves great again! - The best center channel speaker I’ve ever own in my 40 years of Home Theater. The R6 is a BEAST! I came from PSB X series and the KEF R6’s clarity and depth of detail is so much better then my PSB XC center . The first two movies I threw at it were Cold Storage & Good luck Have fun Don’t Die . Both movies the dialogue was clear, but at the same time punchy and enjoyable not to see my PSB set up wasn’t great but for $2200 this speaker is designed for serious HT enthusiasts. Well worth the money.
Review: Neutral, Accurate, and Fun, the Kef Meta series delivers. - I spent 6 months with the Meta R3s to get a feel for them, and decided it was time to update my HT. R3s went to the sides, so that put me down for getting an R6 and pair of R11s to make it official. As 4ohm speakers, these will put more of a load on AVRs and weak amps than many other speakers, but if you give them the power they're wanting? Fantastic. The R6 and R11s together put a load on my Denon receiver which led to protect mode when turning up the volume (power cycle to avoid the AVR damaging itself), but then I connected them to Fosi V3 mono blocks, and no more worries about power - these sound fantastic. For the center channel in particular, the neutral character really makes dialog sound natural. It doesn't seem like watching a show so much as hearing voices which sound like they're legitimately in the room. Cliche, but that's how well they do their job. The sound is neutral / natural, and articulate like nobody's business. I can't imagine doing too much better for sound than this series of speakers.
