Review: Great Little Locks for Travel and Peace of Mind - These SURE LOCK TSA-approved luggage locks are a practical addition to my travel gear. I like having a little extra security on my suitcase or travel bag, especially when checking luggage, and the two-pack gives me enough to secure more than one bag without having to purchase the locks individually. The three-digit combination is much more convenient for travel than carrying another small key that can easily get lost. Once the combination is set, the lock is straightforward to use, and I don't have to keep track of anything else. Just make sure you remember the combination you select. I also like the flexible cable design. Compared with a rigid lock, the cable provides some additional flexibility when working with different zipper pulls and luggage configurations. That makes these useful beyond just a traditional suitcase—they can also work well with compatible backpacks and other travel bags. The TSA-approved design is important when using a lock on checked luggage. It allows authorized TSA personnel to open the lock with the appropriate access tool when an inspection is necessary rather than having to cut off a standard lock. One of the more useful features is the open-alert indicator. If the lock has been opened using the TSA access mechanism, the indicator is designed to let you know. It doesn't prevent a TSA inspection, of course, but I like having an indication that the bag may have been opened during its journey. These are primarily a deterrent against casual access rather than a substitute for keeping valuables with you. I still wouldn't put irreplaceable or particularly valuable items in checked luggage simply because the suitcase has a lock on it. Overall, these are convenient travel locks with a nice combination of features. The three-digit combination eliminates keys, the flexible cable is easy to work with, and the open-alert indicator is a thoughtful addition. Getting two in the package makes them an especially useful set for anyone who travels with multiple bags.
Review: Practical, easy to read and set, user friendly locks - This is a lock that is well made, sturdy and designed by people who obviously travel. I needed locks for my carry on luggage, because, on rare occasions, I run into times when the flight attendant will decide my duffel won't fit the overhead, and it's pointless to argue with them if I want to be on the flight. Then, things go missing. I chose these locks, because I like the tamper indicator on it. I also like the easy to read numbers, and that there is a separate window to view the combination code I set. The last time I bought a baggage combination lock was 30 years ago from a well known luggage company, and it was frustratingly hard to read the tiny black numbers on a metal background, even with my 20/20 eyesight, it did not have a separate window but a small dot to indicate where the numbers needed to be aligned, and it was not a cable lock. I ended up cutting it since I couldn't open the lock. Since I couldn't get a lock and key lock that is TSA approved, I reluctantly looked around for a combination lock that will give me some peace of mind, and that I wouldn't get frustrated trying to use or feel like I just threw away money. I am very happy with this lock. I have an desertcart Prime membership, so I liked the ability to return the locks if they didn't work out for me. I got the green color, because I wanted to give my luggage an additional distinct personality so I can identify it easily. While I was waiting for the locks to arrive, the lock company sent me an email thanking me for deciding to buy the locks, gave me useful information about how to contact them if I have any issues with their product, and reminded me that there is a guarantee that should the locks be damaged by baggage handlers or TSA, that they will replace it with a working lock. Besides that, if I can't follow the easy, written instructions, which I had no trouble following, there is an online "how to" video available. I have a trip coming up in 2 days, and I fly frequently domestically and internationally for nearly all my life for decades. If I have any issues with the locks while traveling, I'll followup and add on this review. Whoever designed these locks and tested them knew what they were doing, and I really appreciate that. My luggage was carefully designed to accept most lock cables with lock holes in the zippers and D rings to provide security, so the cable fits nicely through them. The lock's body is metal. I like the sale price too. For my one carry on, I required 3 locks, but I just ordered a 4 pack to have an extra handy in a pinch, and if I love them so much, I can give a couple locks as a present to other frequent flying friends or family. Just to note, I know I could cut through these cables with a hefty wirecutter, but then, a person could axe my luggage. With the locks, it would take more time to tamper with luggage than without locks:) I don't expect 100 percent peace of mind, but, at least, locks on my luggage will help to keep it from being an easy target.

## Features

- TSA APPROVED COMBINATION LUGGAGE LOCKS – SAFE INSPECTION WITHOUT DAMAGE These TSA-approved luggage locks let security agents inspect your checked bags without cutting the lock—protecting your luggage from damage and saving you replacement costs. Built with a crush-resistant zinc alloy body and corrosion-resistant internal components, this durable travel lock withstands years of rough handling.
- OPEN ALERT INDICATOR – KNOW IF YOUR BAG WAS INSPECTED Exclusive visual alert: a bright red button pops up when opened by TSA master key during screening and stays visible until you unlock it with your code. Trusted by millions of U.S. travelers over the past decade for reliable performance on every trip.
- EASY TO SET & RESET 3-DIGIT COMBINATION – ONLY YOU CONTROL THE CODE Set or change your personal 3-digit code in seconds. To reset, simply unlock with your current code (default: 000), flip the hidden reset switch, choose a new combination, and lock again. TSA agents can open for inspection—but cannot view or change your password.
- FLEXIBLE STEEL CABLE DESIGN – FITS MORE BAGS THAN RIGID LOCKS The 4-inch braided steel cable easily threads through tight zippers and odd-shaped luggage that standard shackle locks can’t secure. Ideal for suitcases, carry-ons, backpacks, Pelican cases, gun cases, gym bags, and gear bags—offering versatile protection without extra weight.
- LARGE EASY-READ DIALS – CLEAR IN LOW LIGHT, NO GLASSES NEEDED Extra-large white digits on a matte black, non-reflective dial ensure quick, confident unlocking—even in dim airport lighting, hotel rooms, or without reading glasses. A small detail that makes every journey smoother.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great function, no issues
*by C***I on September 21, 2026*

Have used these locks for years, and they still function well. They’re sturdy, even a little heavy. They’re super easy to use and I’ve never had an issue with them at airports (I travel a lot). I prefer a combination code to a key, so these are perfect for securing my bags without worry of my stuff getting stuck or stolen.
