M4, M5?** A: I used no. 8 countersunk woodscrews for a flush finish. These are 4mm diameter in metric I believe. **Q: Is this suitable for maritime use and will all the components withstand saltwater environments with regards to corrosion?** A: Using mine on bi-folding doors on my conservatory so not in a salty environment. However, stainless steel is non corrosive and I know it is used on boats for many applications. I would say it’s worth giving this handle a try. Just leave it exposed on deck for a week before attaching to see if it rusts or not. **Q: How deep does the recess into the door/cupboard need to be for installation?** A: The maximum Depth required for the ring pull is about 10 - 12mm and the rest of the plate is 4 - 5mm. **Q: Hi can you advise if the underneath is flush/flat please?** A: Hi there, thank you for your question. The underneath of the flush pulls need chopping in. The dimension for the 44mm x 62mm is a 3mm thick plate and then a further 10mm to chop in. I hope this helps.
