A man of great courage, selflessness and conviction dedicated to making the lives of millions of African Americans more dignified. , The problem black people face in America is not abuse of civil rights, but denial of human rights.’ Who else but a genius could come up with such clarity in articulation ? It is a pity Malcom was taken so young because of the jealousy of people like Louis Farrakhan and other jealous hypocrites who masquerade today as civil rights leaders. Malcom had no equal and still does not have one, in terms of his courage and a strong desire black people rightfully get their human rights rather than the phony so-called civil rights which as we have seen has not brought that much change in the way black peopled are treated.Denzel here is at his best. Great performance and aproximation to Malcom’s face, mannerisms and way of speaking. I like that Spike Lee did not just portray Malcom as a perfect saint. Both his vices and virtues are clearly portrayed. Great movie which I have now watched at ,east 4 times if not more. A must see movie. I suggest you also look at Malcom’s own speeches and interviews that are available on YouTube. Malcolm X is one of the main reasons as to why in my opinion a lot of black people in America are in much better conditions today compared to the early 1900’s. This also influenced people around the globe. Must watch this amazing movie. I would recommend that onve you have watched this, then watch original clips of Malcolm X on youtube. One truly ‘Faithful’ as well as an amazing person whose living concern was for black people in general and fulfilled his duty as a ‘Muslim’. Basically, Spike adopted Malcolm's strategy: "by any means necessary".So we end up loving Malcolm, no matter if we were already on his side.
