Review: Works perfectly with my Canon T7i - I could not be more pleased. The adapter runs cool (I had it active in my camera for over three hours and there was no discernible heating). What impressed me the most is the total length of the cable. Here are the measurements: From adapter (the part shaped like a battery) to the end of the first segment of cable measured 36 inches. The fixed cable from the transformer that connects to the above segment measures 48 inches. The figure 8 power end cord that connects the transformer to wall power measures another 48 inches. If you need something longer, you can purchase compatible cords here on desertcart for a reasonable price. I found that I did not need one. Another feature is that you can dispense with wall power and connect this to an external battery pack. The XTPower MP-10000 External Battery Pack with 10000mAh - dual USB 5V + DC 9V / 12V 2A (as one of many examples) will power my camera for hours (over six, in fact), using the 9V. I have been using this ACK-E18 daily since I purchased it and it has proven to be reliable. I am guessing that if it was going to fail, it would have done so by now.
