For comparison I recently modded my phat model PS2 to use a HDD and it has input lag, this seemingly doesnt from what i can tell. Havent used it anywhere else yet as i havemt setup anything else as i primarly wanted this to use with emulators. The 8Bitdo is great for retro games, and games that just require a simple controller. I personally enjoy the 8Bit's feel and simplicity...but if you want to play games that utilize the motion controls and/or amiibo, the pro controller is a must. The 8bitdo DOES NOT have motion controls. **Q: Can anyone tell me what the four lights on the bottom represent? The first is always on green light but I haven't seen any changes in the others** A: It has a couoke of uses. I think it tells how much is charged when charging. It also has a function of telling you which kind of system it is hooked up to (1 for android, 2 for Windows and such). It lays most of it out in the weird directions, but you can look it up o the product website that has the instructions and firmware updates. **Q: Will this controller register/sync up with retro emulators on android? specifically with the john ness emulator?** A: So I have the older model that looks like an SNES controller and it can sync to Android devices and will save the profile. Pretty much I can connect mine to my Apple Tv, Switch, and PC as well. There are codes to switch at will and it works pretty well once you figure it out. **Q: Will it work with iOS?** A: Yes. Great little controller *by H***Y on March 25, 2026* Absolutely amazing, exactly what I wanted. There is a downside, you need a traditional pc to update firmware, if you do you’re off to the races. I got this to use with my iPad for Red Dead, and if it don’t update the firmware it works, but I stuck to Nintendo bindings, nothing against that, but I prefer PlayStation/xbox layouts, updated the firmware on my pc and now the bottom button is Sony x/xbox A. The iPad thinks it is a DualShock. It is actually fairly comfy, the compact nature is the draw factor. Great little controller. Perfect size for a backpack controller, I plan to use it for traveling and as a backup. I absolutely love the clear plastic and the buttons feel nice.
