**Q: How hard is the splint? Is it rigid or soft?**
A: Rigid hard plastic

**Q: size of splints and how to determine**
A: I ordered two sizes, just to be sure - neither size was a good fit and neither did an adequate job of keeping the joint straight. (And I got ripped off on shipping/returning, though I see that's now free.) I instead used a more bulky type (metal with blue cushioning) which did the job. Good luck!

**Q: where do i find what sizes to buy**
A: Good luck. I found a size chart on the net but it's not real accurate. Had to buy 4 before I got the right size.
