He can take them apart, scatter them, look at the different interesting nottoms, and put a few back inside each other. Mot yet dexterity to build a tower, but loves knocking the tower down. They are avgreat toy gor a curious 1-year old, and will grow with him as his hand and finger dexterity increase. Lovely natural colors are a nice break from typical bright plastic colors of so many other toys. They are also a fun bath toy.
