What I csn say is that it felt a light watch and was a pleasure to own. I’m looking now for a mechanical winding watch. **Q: Would this watch suit small wrists? My wrist is 2" across and 5.5"round. Don't like too small faces or too large but like style** A: The full flat measurement from end to end is 9". From clasp to nearest hole (ie minimum wrist size) is 6.2". Of course this could be shortened further by punching your own holes in current leather strap. Alternatively you could go and buy another strap when it arrives. No doubt this is a great watch to have, looks good and if you are up in the night or in the evening the illuminating backlight is a definite plus. **Q: Can the strap be replaced?** A: Yes it can. **Q: the back light on the watch - is it on all night or do you press the button to get the light** A: No it's not on all the time when it's dark. Okay, there’s a tiny area at the top of the dial (and I mean tiny) that doesn’t light up when you push the crown in but that’s trivial. Other than that I really like the stylish simplicity of the watch face. Easy to read in daylight or darkness. The fantastic thing about the watch is its accuracy. I’ve had it for a week and it has only lost 3 seconds. Incredibly accurate. What I found strange was that the date is set in the normal way I.e. taking the crown out to the first click but the day of the week can only be set by continually working through the hours A long winded way to change the day of the week but only needs to be a lengthy exercise once. Great no nonsense robust watch for normal day wear and at a great price. They are brilliant watches for a really great price. They have generally given me approximately seven to eight years of use before wear and tear have prompted me to replace them. I like this model for several reasons; the clear white dial with large numbers is very visible and the day/date readout is useful and easy to read; the smart leather strap is made from soft leather and comfortable to wear. A very useful feature is the INDIGLO night light which illuminates the white dial when the adjustment crown is pressed in; there is enough illumination to see your way across a darkened room! This watch is advertised to be water resistant to 30 meters. The watch is very hard wearing and very easy to wear; it looks more expensive than it actually costs, I highly recommend this Timex timepiece! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good watch, so far. . . *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 14 June 2026* Trouble setting date. Couldn’t. There was no functioning middle position of the knob to do so. Returned it for a swap. Same problem, but at least the date was now correct on this one so I may never need to change it. Other than that, I like the watch. It is quiet, no irritating ticking, it seems to keep good time, backlighting works fine. It's a handsome and simple design, easy to read, and comfortable to wear.
