You can also put a memory stick in it with loads of music on which is handy. **Q: does remote have a volume control** A: The remote control does have volume control. But it's a standard Denon remote and only works volume on a Denon amplifier when connected to the CD player. Decided on Denon because of reviews, its design , and that it had a remote and a usb connection. was bigger than I expected, but looks sleek and very solid. Quality finish. Sound is perfect. Very pleased. Highly recommended. Cons??….well remote has about 1000 tiny buttons; and without a Denon amp you'll only use about 5 of them ! Has a large display panel at front..but illuminated figures are very small..why.?? USB connection is useful..but only works on a USB stick or Apple products. Couldn't make it work with Samsung phone connection.....which is annoying. But overall these are niggles and no way detract from this player . I love it. Even playing music through the usb sounds pretty good.
