Here’s my detailed review based on my experience: Pros: Powerful Output: With a 300W power output and a guide number of 58, this strobe provides ample lighting for a variety of studio setups. It ensures my subjects are well-lit, resulting in sharp and vibrant portraits. Quick Recycle Time: The 0.1-1.8 second recycle time is impressive, allowing for continuous shooting without long waits. This feature is particularly useful during fast-paced portrait sessions. 2.4G X System: The built-in 2.4G wireless X system offers seamless integration with other Godox products. It provides reliable and convenient wireless control, which is a huge advantage for coordinating multiple lights in a studio setup. Bowens Mount: The Bowens mount is a versatile feature that makes it compatible with a wide range of modifiers and accessories. This flexibility allows me to shape and control the light precisely according to my needs. LED Modeling Lamp: The LED modeling lamp is bright and energy-efficient, providing excellent preview lighting to help set up shots accurately before firing the flash. Compact Design: The compact and lightweight design makes it easy to handle and position within the studio. It doesn't take up much space and is straightforward to set up. Cons: Build Quality: While the strobe is generally well-made, it has a somewhat plasticky feel. A more robust build would enhance its durability. Conclusion: The Godox MS300V MS300-V Compact Studio Strobe Flash Light is a powerful and versatile addition to any studio photographer's equipment. Its strong output, quick recycle time, and compatibility with various modifiers make it an excellent choice for portrait photography. However, potential buyers should be aware that the stand and diffuser shown in the image I am uploading are not included with the strobe. Despite this, the overall performance and features of the MS300V make it a valuable investment for enhancing studio lighting setups. Review: Great lights - I was skeptical for the price, but they've never gotten hot, I've never heard the fan, and they're plenty bright. I usually use them with double diffuser + grid and a macro lens. Be sure to turn off auto WB on your camera before using them! Lots of people blame lights for bad color when it was actually their camera fighting them. The modeling light is honestly pretty bright and could pass for a video light as long as you don't diffuse very hard. I find myself using them as backup lights when I do video sometimes. Also, if you happen to have an Anker C1000 gen 2 battery, it is more than strong enough to run 2 of these. That's suuuuuper useful because then you don't have to care where outlets are at your gig. My only complaint is they grab onto umbrellas REALLY tight and it can take some force to get them back out. ## Features - Upgraded LED modelling lamp: Godox MS300-V is Upgraded Version of Godox MS300, with new LED Modeling Lamp, strong and powerful. 150W power and manual light adjustment from 5% to 100% - Wireless remote control: The power output, modeling lamp, and the buzzer of the studio flash can be remotely controlled by Godox X2 trigger, XT 16 transmitter or XPro, X1 Trigger. 16 group, 32 channel - Outstanding power output stability: No more than 2% tolerance of output power when the flash works for long hours, and is More durable than MS300 - Anti-preflash Function: The anti-preflash function guarantees the synchronisation of cameras that can trigger a preflash - Lightweight and Compact Design: Length of flash with lamp cover only 28.3cm, Net Weight Approx 1.3kg, and compatible with bowens mount Accessories. It is a nice , maybe a little fragile, little light and I have used it in studio situations. It is pretty strong, but the modeling light is LED and is not a strong modeling light for the most part (but cooler) Also I think the slave is not as sensitive as I would like. I had to have the other light at at least 1/8 power for the slave to see it. Might benefit from a plug in slave sensor. This was in a room with ambient tungsten light. I will probably get another for studio work. For outdoor, I prefer a speed light since I often need to crank up the shutter speed. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Godox MS300V Strobe Flash: A Powerful and Versatile Addition to Studio Photography *by M***B on June 26, 2024* I recently purchased the Godox MS300V MS300-V Compact Studio Strobe Flash Light for my studio, and it has significantly improved the quality of my portrait photography. Great entry level strobes for those of us who are new to photography. More than enough power to get the job done! UPDATE: Ordered a third light and I was sent an opened box, used light, missing paperwork. Fortunately, the light works and seems to be ok. My complaint isn't with the product but with whomever is responsible for fulfilling the order. This makes the third time I've been sent used, and returned items. Some damaged. Are you kidding me?! If you can't fulfill the order then wait until you can! Stop sending opened returns and charging full price like they were new.! Disappointed in the fulfillment process. Still happy with the product. ## Frequently Bought Together - Godox MS300V MS300-V Compact Studio Strobe Flash Light - 300W,GN58 0.1-1.8S Recycle Time,2.4G X System,Bowens Mount LED Modeling Lamp for Photographic Studio Portrait Shooting(MS300 Upgraded Version) - Godox CT-16 Wireless Radio Flash Trigger Receiver Kit,Fit Compatible for Canon Nikon Pentax DSLR Camera Studio 3 in 1 Flash Transmitter and Receiver - RONFEN DR-E18 DC Coupler LP-E17 Dummy Battery USB-C Cable PD Adapter Kit ACK-E18 AC Power Adapter for DSLR Cameras Canon EOS Rebel SL3 SL2 T8i T7i T6i T6s 77D R50 R10 R8 RP 850D 800D 760D 750D 200D --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.at/products/523131730-godox-ms300v-300w-compact-studio-strobe-flash-light-ms300-upgraded](https://www.desertcart.at/products/523131730-godox-ms300v-300w-compact-studio-strobe-flash-light-ms300-upgraded) --- *Product available on Desertcart Austria* *Store origin: AT* *Last updated: 2026-10-08*
