**Q: How often does it need to be changed or replaced ?**
A: I cut the replacement filter in half, and replace a half of it every month.

**Q: Does any1 know if you can double up on the pads in a Fluval U4 instead of using the polyclear or polycarbon cartridges too??**
A: You could if they fit but the filter will not work anywhere near as efficiently.

product itself is great, i only bought on here as i was in a rush and buying lots of items in one go, i have been surprised to see these cheaper in pets at home when i put them into a google search, so if there cheaper in pets at home i imagine they will be even cheaper elsewhere fast delivery and quality item
