I ordered two similar headlamps to replace the defective ones, and waited to be sure they worked. I was going to request to return the defective ones today, and my account says my chance to return them expired in September. I don't hike in the dark but this headlamp allows me to work in my yard after sunset and before sunrise so I don't have to spend my entire weekend doing yard work. I even used it once when the power went out during a storm and it was great!. The strap is adjustable making it easy to fit to my head. I haven't tried it with a bike helmet but I'm sure it would fit. A single charge typically lasts more than 4 hours. Everything seems to be solidly made and the lights are very bright.
