After recently finding out from some friends that I can get my house set up as a ‘smart home’ I started looking at ways to begin this process and I wanted to start with lighting to see if I can at least make that work. I also have lights and lamps through out my house so I didn’t want to start worrying about getting these specific ‘smart bulbs’ that I don’t really know anything about. While searching I found this set of 2 and figured I’d see how it went. These are simply 2 plugs that go into your wall socket and you set up within your WiFi network at home and with the Smart Life app that I got at the Apple Store. Step by step directions got me set and I was able to pair this to my Amazon Alexa app and all done! My first project is complete with the lamp in my basement and the lamp in bedroom being connected with either a click on my phone screen or by asking my Echo turn on and off the lights. Since this went as easily as it did I have a feeling this is step 1 of many to outfit my home. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best deal, Works great!! *by R***Y on January 20, 2018* These have to be my favorite purchase from Amazon in the past 6 months. First because there was two and not just one. Second because they are so easy to use with my Echo dot. The main reason I thought of purchasing these was for my children's room so I have control over when the tv can be on and off. This absolutely did the trick I am able to shut it off with just the words "Alexa shut of kids tv". They are super easy to set up with the Echo dot and I think that even if your not the best with technology you can still use these without a problem. Setup was only a few minutes no more then 4 minutes and then you can start using them. When I decided to automate more of my lights, I got another pack of these. The second time, it took no more than five minutes.
