Really sharp and can be used for either kitchen, office, wherever in the home, they are fairly versatile Only issue is that the handle and the blade are quite thin, so not sure how long they will last. They wouldn't do any heavy duty cutting for thicker materials. The positive of this is that they are very lightweight for a decent sized pair of scissors. I've got fairly big hands and my fingers and thumb fit pretty well in the handle.
