A: It is a chainsaw, there is no blade. You will need to buy dewalt batteries though!

A: should be a standard 8 inch chain at Lowe's or amazon?

**Q: Does it leak oil? I'm wondering if I can just toss it in my car and not have to worry about oil going everywhere.**
A: All of the Dewalt Chainsaws are extremely durable, however they are made of hard plastic.  Over time some leakage will occur.  I replaced the rubber gromit to help prevent.  Note:  There is no such thing as a leakless chainsaw.  I have several gas powered and they also have this issue.
