The instrument and its accessories fit snugly into accurately-cut recesses in a large block of inert plastic foam that fills the lower part of the case; the lid is lined with a softer wavy-profile foam sheet that holds them securely in place when it is closed. The hinges and clasps that secure the lid are strong and the clasps have a positive snap-shut action.The photos on Amazon’s web page clearly show the catch plates as having keyholes, so when I unpacked the case I was surprised to find that there were no keys present in the contents. I contacted Apex to report the omission, but was told that they are unable to supply keys for the case as the manufacturer does not provide them. I regret now that it didn't occur to me to ask if the clasps in fact contained a lock mechanism, but because of the limited space available within the slim body of the latch plate, I feel it is unlikely that locks, if they were present, would be very substantial or secure. I told Apex that I considered their photos were misleading: the presence of keyholes implied that the case would offer some degree of protection against opportunistic pilfering. They have since informed me that the Amazon product description has now been modified to make it clear that the case is intended simply to protect the instrument from damage and enable it to be transported safely.. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Case *by A***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 November 2017* Prompt delivery.
