Review: Reasonably price Luggage. - Well, after trawling through countless reviews, I plumped for this suitcase, it's reviews were great & it's price is competitive. I made the mistake of ordering the large version, Wow, it was huge .! So I returned it, & purchased the medium. It's a nice rose gold colour, my wife loves, it. It appears well made, the zips, seem up to the job, has 4 wheels, & a handle. People moaning about no lock, well honestly, buy a couple of quality Yale small padlocks, gonna cost you what Β£6....? At least it doesn't have combination locks like some cases, that actually don't work.? & Can't reset. It has a strap in one side, to hold things in, & a zipped partition in the other side, which when unzipped, gives access to the bottom half of the case, ingenious, I thought. The proof of the pudding will be seen, after it's first trip abroad. Any case no matter the cost is at the mercy of baggage handlers, & could be thrown or dropped & damaged at any time, regardless of cost. My ethos is buy a hopefully quality mid range case, & if by chance it gets damaged in transit your not out of pocket to hundreds of pounds, & is replaceable. The zips seem to be ok, there not YKK, the gold standard zip, so how long they will last is hard to estimate, but hopefully the desertcart basic hard shell case, will take the knocks, & last for a few years of trips, hopefully. Time & travel destinations will reveal it's strength's & hopefully not too many weaknesses. Review: Great Quality and Value desertcart Hand Luggage Bag - I bought this suitcase as I was in need of a new one after replacing my 5 year old bag. I ordered with a Prime as would be expected with an desertcart own brand item. I spent a long time looking for a case that good quality, inexpensive, will fit standard cabin sizes (EasyJet, Ryainair) but alsonstrong enough to do the job and will last out for a few years, I think this has good potential. This is hard sided, which makes it difficult to scratch and in my opinion a better option against getting crushed and resist more knocks and bangs. With fabric cases I find they invariably get dirty and damaged very quickly, whilst being loaded in and out of planes, trains and cars. This has already been on 3 trips with me and has lasted and still remains in good condition. The storage space inside is great and maximises the use of the space you have available. It has a zip up side and an open side that has a double elastic band that clicks together and keeps your clothes in place. It has has two zip pockets on the inner lining which I particularly like, you can out your travel documents and currency in their quite easily and take them out again without unpacking your whole bag. My only critisicm is the handle strength. It shakes a little bit when in use and I feel there's a little too much give in it. Whilst fine to use with the 4 x 360 degree wheels, it is easy enough to push and pull along in all directions. I think if anything is going to break on this bag first, it will be the handle or the mechanism for the handle. This could be improved in V2 if they ever upgrade. One more thing to note is the branding on the bag. Their is a non-removable "desertcart Basics" brand label applied to the top right corner. I'm not too bothered about it personally, but if your image conscious, it's worth bearing in mind. Many of the hand luggage covers you can buy separately would cover this in transit if you really needed, but shouldn't deter you from buying this bag. A good quality hand luggage price for a reasonable price. Recommended. ## Features - desertcart BASICS HARDSIDE LUGGAGE: 55cm/21 inches suitcase with extra thick ABS hardshell with scratch-resistant finish; with 4 double spinner wheels for optimum mobility; colour: black - CONVENIENT: Expandable design provides up to 25% extra packing capacity; with strong zippers and telescopic handle for comfortable manoeuvring (extends up to 54.5cm) - ORGANISATION: Small suitcase with fully lined interior with divider; 150D-polyester interior organiser with 3 zippered pockets - DIMENSIONS & WEIGHT: Travel bag with wheels measures 55 x 37.5 x 25.5 cm (HxLxW, including wheels); volume 32 litres; weight: 3.1kg ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B071VG5N9D | | Best Sellers Rank | 2,079 in Fashion ( See Top 100 in Fashion ) 15 in Suitcases | | Brand Name | Amazon Basics | | Capacity | 32 litres | | Colour | Black | | Country Of Origin | China | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 53,639 Reviews | | Denier | 150 | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00841710177176 | | Handle Type | Telescopic Extendable Handle | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 56L x 45W x 25H centimetres | | Item Weight | 3.5 kg | | Lock Type | Combination Lock | | Manufacturer | Amazon | | Manufacturer Part Number | LN20164-20-BL | | Material Type | Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) | | Model Number | LN20164-20 | | Number Of Pockets | 3 | | Number of Handles | 3 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Sections | 2 | | Number of wheels | 4 | | Other Special Features of the Product | Expandable | | Pattern | Striped | | Shell Type | Hard | | Size | S | | Storage Volume | 40 litres | | Strap Type | Stretchable | | Style Name | 1 Piece | | Target Audience | Travellers | | UPC | 841710177176 | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | | Water Resistance Level | Water Resistant | | Wheel Type | multi-directional spinners | ## Images ![Hard Shell Suitcase with Spinner Wheels - Black S - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71s7HbyqzEL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size, Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Are these for men?** A: Are they for men? You betcha! Especially men who long for luggage that will coordinate with their blaze orange hunting gear this deer season. Bambi and his mom won't know what hit them when they see you toting all your repellent, gear, turkey jerky and your secret longing for your brother-in-law in his tight Levi's and plaid flannel shirt -- all neatly packed away in this exquisite luggage set that's as rugged on the outside and as tied down with inflexible cords on the inside as you are. **Q: How many watermelons will this hold?** A: I bet if you grew your watermelons in a square glass then you could fit more in this particular suitcase **Q: what are the dimentions** A: This product's overall dimensions are actually 21.6x14.4x9.2 and allowed carry on dimensions for domestic airlines are 22x14x9. Based on that, it looks like this product violates the carry on requirements. I'm finding that most of the bags advertised on Amazon as carry on luggage only give the bag dimensions and do not reflect overall dimensions including the wheels, which is misleading. Personally, I wouldn't risk spending the money and finding out the hard way that an airline won't accept it as carry on. **Q: Do the suitcases fit inside of one another when stored?** A: They absolutely do fit inside of each other. I recently flew back home to get a deseas3ed parent's home cleared out. I knew I might want to bring a few things back with me. I nested a packed smallest one inside the middle one. Flying back I was able to use the middle one for items I brought back. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Reasonably price Luggage. *by T***) on 1 August 2026* Well, after trawling through countless reviews, I plumped for this suitcase, it's reviews were great & it's price is competitive. Great value for money but definitely, the one I received, was not the size advertised. It’s wider than anticipated. ## Frequently Bought Together - Amazon Basics 21" Hardside Carry-On Luggage, Hardshell Suitcase With Wheels, Expandable For Up to 25% More Space, With Scratch-Resistant Surface, Four Multi-directional Wheels, Black - MATEIN Carry on Backpack, Extra Large Travel Backpack Expandable Airplane Approved Weekender Bag for Men and Women, Water Resistant Lightweight Daypack for Flight 40L, Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.at/products/52760124-hard-shell-suitcase-with-spinner-wheels-black-s](https://www.desertcart.at/products/52760124-hard-shell-suitcase-with-spinner-wheels-black-s) --- *Product available on Desertcart Austria* *Store origin: AT* *Last updated: 2026-10-14*
