You won't be able to put any large frame spectacles or glasses in it, so it's only good for thin framed/frameless and small frame glasses. The release/open button is a tad fiddly, so the reviews I've read that mentioned it being difficult to open for people with arthritis in the hands makes sense, you do have to press firmly to get it to release, and I did do a bit of bending with some needle nose pliers to get it to work better, but even with all of that it does take a firm press to open, but on the converse side you'll find it's secure when it's closed and won't spring open accidently, and it locks with a firm click so you're confident your lid will stay shut. The aluminium seems sturdy and it's very light, and contrary to some of the other reviews mine did come with a soft-ish lining so the lenses will not get scratched, although this seems to be inconsistent from the manufacturer as some do and some don't apparently. Over all I'm happy with the product, it's good value, well made, light, durable and most of all protects my expensive reading glasses, perhaps no better than the plastic case you get for free but it certainly looks more stylish...and that's probably the whole point of them.
