Review: Logitech M240 Bluetooth Mouse - far better than expected - I am not a fan of using a laptop trackpad endlessly, especially for detailed work. When I recently bought a new MacBook (from desertcart) I decided to get a separate mouse. After looking at the offerings on desertcart and reading the reviews, I settled on this Logitech model, primarily because I know them to be a long-standing company and I've used some of their products in the past. This is a smaller size mouse but perfect for my needs. It really is nigh on silent, fits perfectly in my hand (adult male) and is a pleasure to use. It was simple to connect to the MacBook - settings/bluetooth - and I've no issues at all with it. One part of this product I found interesting was the fact it uses a battery (said to last around 18 months) rather than be rechargeable. I did like that and not having to worry about recharging is a good thing. I found nothing negative about this product and will likely order another as a spare. Low price, good construction, works perfectly.

**Q: Is it compatible with MacBook Air 2018?**
A: I use an HP notebook so I am note sure but I think it will be compatible. I think you have to get an adaptor to connect it to the mouse though

**Q: Can I use it on 2 devices at ones? iPad and Pc?**
A: I had my M240 paired and working with my ASUS Chromebook, then I turned on Bluetooth on my Moto G23 phone and paired the M240 with the G23 and it worked properly. The connection to the ASUS Chromebook was broken. So it looks pretty clear that the M240 can only be active with a single device at a time - quite how a mouse controlling 2 devices simultaneously would work is not something I can get my head around !!! U can of course pair the M240 with several devices, but only one device can be actively paired at any time.

**Q: If the click button is on the left hand side, how can that work held in the left hand,  my little finger could manage that,  can anyone help please?**
A: The arrangement of the two buttons on this mouse is symmetrical.  You can choose which button to be your primary button (equivalent to the left click of a right-handed mouse) in Windows devices settings.  In other words, if you are using the mouse with left hand, you can select the right button as the primary button.

**Q: hows this ifferent from the m220?**
A: I don't know but I find it as an excellent mouse, easy to install and very precise in use.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Light, quiet, basic mouse

I bought this to replace an old M505 which had worn out. It's almost exactly the same shape, weighs little more than half as much, and doesn't have clicky buttons. I don't really get the new obsession with "silent" mice, I never found the click offensive in the first place. To me, the quiet, slightly spongy action feels almost like the buttons are about to wear out, but in reality it is a very responsive easy to use device. The scroll wheel is also quiet unless you roll it very fast. The setup was a complete doddle: pull out plastic strip over battery terminal, observe mouse detected by computer, click pair device. Five seconds tops. It then offered to download the Logitech bloatware configuration tool which, to be fair, installed and worked without issue, but it is largely a waste of time for a mouse without extra buttons. Two minor things I don't like: 1) It defaults to having a "smooth scroll" mode, which tries to add a bit of inertia to scrolling, like a smartphone. It's ok on some things but, when you actually want to scroll just one notch in a list or something, it becomes unusable. So that got turned off pretty quickly. 2) On a hard surface it very fractionally rocks side to side. This has no impact on functionality but, along with the extremely light weight, makes it feel a bit cheap. Which, bear in mind, it is. I'm not going to hold a sub-£15 mouse to the same standards as one costing £50. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase.
