I had a guardian goalrilla with a 4” square pole. We wanted to make it adjustable as it was a fixed goal. We also purchased the recommended lifetime backboard from Amazon. The backboard worked well with the kit, as expected being the same manufacturer. The 4” square pole posed quite the challenge as we tried a few different mounting strategies. We mounted with existing attachment bracket from old goal which worked but lacked clearance for arms to allow raising and lowering. We tried drilling and attaching arms directly to the pole but the gap between arms was too narrow to go over 4” pole. We tried to drill the black rectangle to the pole like you would if attaching to a garage but the precision to line up 6 pre drilled holes in metal with a hand drill was too much for this handyman! We ultimately went tot he store and bought 4” wide by 6” long u brackets and attached the black rectangle to the pole, then mounted the goal to it. We had to take careful measurement for the distance to install the black rectangle to make sure the goal would be 10’ when at that setting. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hardiplank *by T***N on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on February 5, 2023* Great mount, exactly what I needed. Directions, while super long, were more covering every possible product that lifetime sells, rather than 80pages of directions. It took some time, I built it before hand and then mounted block to wall.Scaffolding, $60/week, was well worth the time and expense, to be able to install and complete the job in a few hours. Plan to paint PT lumber after I mask heavily.The 4" LAG werent close, nor was 5" or 6". (6) 7" LAGs thru the wall, to blocking on inside, did the trick. Then (4) 6" for the bracket to the wooden block. I did this entirely myself slowly and with safety in mind. The scaffolding allowed me 6' height additional, more than enough. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Assembly Instructions Could Be Confusing At Times *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on March 23, 2022* Make sure when you go to assemble the product you have plenty of time. I found the hardware dimensions and illustrations in the assembly guide were not always accurate. At times I was hoping I had used the correct part. The guide also showed some of the hardware that was packaged with the Lifetime steel frame backboard which was ordered separately. This backboard could have a Slam-It or a Slam-It Pro Rim and the conversion kit assembly instructions listed the hardware for both.
