The only real issue is that I bought the 64 Gig version and although that's been plenty of space for me as a general rule...I recently decided that when I go on vacation I want to take the entire worlds library of every movie and TV show ever made along with me without the need for any wifi access to stream from online or the cloud etc. Seems like a worthy goal right? Now I know this is total overkill and I totally admit that it's a very American thing to do but the main reason is because my phone carrier charges extra for hotspot capability to use my ipad on and not only that but even if I did pop for that service, I'm not promised that access would work all the time where ever I go, and certainly not in the air while flying. So I looked up the 128 gig lightening flash drives to back all of this crap up to and take with me on my trips and when I saw that some of the cheaper ones are fake...and don't actually have the amount of memory they claim...so when you hit the upper limit of what they REALLY have...they start corrupting the other files and how that can really put you in a bind I threw that idea out of the window. If other people have had good luck with that set up...good for them..but I don't want to run the risks. The only ones that have any decent reviews are from decent companies like Sandisk, but the problem is I wasn't ready to pop down 75 bucks for something I feel should be like 50 bucks "all in" at this point in the advancement of technology. Then I remembered that I had purchased a 128 gig Sandisk MicroSD card for my phone before Christmas and got to wondering if that would work. Well...the cool thing is i got mine brand new, brand name...legit...for dirt cheap. I think I paid like 27 bucks for it then....not even on sale.... where now they're 40+. So I got to thinking...why couldn't you pop one of those in this here card reader and get a jump drive that's CHEAPER than the ones they're selling? You'd have a microSD card you could use on your phone...that doubles as a flashdrive....AND it would work for PC and IOS as well. Sounds like a rockin idea to me...and so thus we have begun a great journey into a cheaper and better alternative to whats out there today. This sounds so simple it's stupid and yet...(Facepalm)So here's the rub...does it work? In short...YES! The most important part is I can save files to the micro SD card ..either by dragging files to it from my windows 10 laptop....whether it's from the external hard drive or main drive it doesn't matter..... onto my MicroSD card while it's still in my phone and I have it connected.....and then pop that card into this reader and play it from my ipad. I can also just put the card in the reader and pop it into my usb port for my laptop and drag the files to the folder that way as well and they play just the same. I mention that because I wanted to make sure I covered every angle of reading and writing and they all work. I can take pictures on the ipad and save them to the card....and transfer pics and files from the ipad and put them on the card as well. Sometimes these things can get finicky and I haven't dealt with that. Movies all play on my ipad with the player that comes with the software. The point here is with windows 10 and OIS 11 everything works perfectly. You can copy and paste files both ways...to and from the SD card...to the ipad or PC. It's really a perfect set up.I should also mention the way I set things up was to insert the reader into my Ipad first without the microSD card in there just in case any of the files were to try and initiate any processes etc. that might have screwed up the set up. After a moment it prompted me to download some software from the app store. I said yes and clicked "get" and that was it. Then when that was done...I popped the microSD card in there and whaalaah...everything came up. I clicked on some Simpsons episodes I had on the card and it played...video audio and all. I read that some people were able to get the files onto the Sandisk flashdrives for ipad but for some reason they would play but there was no audio and this had to do with the rights to use the codec. I think some people said with that stick they either downloaded a player that was like 5 bucks....and it worked....or...?? I was thinking VLC player probably would have played them with that issue but I don't know if it would see that stick at all. So...anyway..my point is this player doesn't have that issue... Works like a charm. So the bottom line here is I just saved myself 75 BUCKS! I simply spent 10 bucks and I was able to use memory that I already owned and I can do exactly what I set out to accomplish.I just got this thing so who knows about how long it will last and such..but as of now..looks great. Also..I'm tired so my wording might be a bit loose here....but just like I said in the title...works perfectly. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very useful in woods or home! *by B***N on Reviewed in the United States on December 30, 2017* I bought it for checking my trail cameras in woods, It works great on my Android phone. Now I don't have to go back home to see if the cameras catch any animals or not, I can make decision right away if I need move cams to different places or just keep them in same palce! I don't have iPhone so didn't test it on iphone. It also works on PC to read both SD and microSD cards.
