Review: Price is a little steep , but works great! - I’m going to start this review with the good things first - I ordered this as an addition to my rack build and so far I like it , it feels good quality and is easy to setup/use , there’s 2 selectable modes , dot , which shows the DB lights in single dots , and bar , which shows the full bars. There’s also a demo button on the back that shows off a little bit. One thing to note , and it caught me off guard initially is , if your mixer is set to 0db (unity gain) which is what most people have it set as , the DB metres Max is 0DB and that’s right inside the red , so it seems like you are clipping it to the moon but in reality it’s just 0db! Also I think the price is a little bit steep for the type of hardware you are getting , but overall it does the job perfectly. In the video , I’m just playing some white noise. Suggest you direct your enquiries directly to Amazon. **Q: I would like to buy this but i'm not sure how to set it up. i have only 1x line in 1x video out and the 2x speaker output. can i still use this item.** A: I have purchased this for a visual record level reference. It has a Line in and a Line out . Ie Audio in and Audio out. It suits my needs perfectly It does depend on what and how you want this for. **Q: Does it work in the uk** A: mines is working fine, i was given a uk power adaptor with it as long as it comes with that and rca connection you are going to be fine **Q: Can I just connect microphone to this unit and just monitor sound level in my room?** A: Not sure mine is in a lockup at the mo due to moving house. It has left & right channels so mic would only show on one side unless you split the mic signal to both left and right.
