I got them to make a cake for my daughter's upcoming birthday party, so once I am done with that, they will be perfect for modeling projects. These are the same tools used for modeling clay and sculpting, but you will pay a lot more for tools in arts and crafts.This kit comes with an awesome book that teaches you how to do certain shapes, which was extremely helpful. I didn't see a paper that told what each piece was for, though.
