Review: Great rosin - I felt this rosin was quite pricey when I bought it. However, after using it I now understand why its price is a bit on the high side. My playing has improved immensely since using this rosin, grips the strings really well and has all but eliminated the bow sliding over the strings. It’s not overly gripping the strings so no more crunching sounds and no more screeching over the strings as it has the ideal level of grip. An added benefit is that my violin isn’t covered in rosin dust as very little dust is created. All and all I love this rosin and now understand why there’s a difference between cheap rosin and more expensive rosin. That’s not to say there aren’t any good cheap rosins out there. If you were lucky enough to find one, that’s great, unfortunately after buying many cheap rosins I was unable to find one that came anywhere near matching this rosin.

**Q: What is the difference between light and dark?**
A: The difference is grip/stickiness and some small changes to sound- it's just down to personal preference really. I'm a violinist but prefer dark rosin because I live in a relatively cold and dry place and prefer deeper tones on my instrument. If I lived somewhere particularly warm or humid, or wanted a slightly brighter tone I'd go for light rosin.

**Q: Can the box be reused for other rosin?**
A: Doubtful. The Rodin is fixed rigidly inside the box. It can be rotated.

**Q: I'm an improver cellist with Helicore strings on a rather lively cello. Do you recommend light or dark rosin, please?**

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sand before first use and it’s grate

I’m new to violin but I have tried 3 different resins this one is my favourite. Just sand before first use, with a fine grade sandpaper I find that just scratches with a sharp object ( on a new bow ) doesn’t really work,. Would recommend
