**Q: Aprat from assmebling the corners, the slats just drop in?**
A: Yes but you may need to push it down a bit using a minimal amount of force.  It wasn't hard.  The middle most slat is different though as that ones a part of the frame and needs to be screwed on and connects with the center legs.

**Q: What is the height of the headboard screw holes?**
A: On each leg the bottom hole is about 4 1/2" high and the top hole is about 6 1/2" high.

**Q: What is the height of the headboard holes?**
A: On each leg bottom hole is about 4 1/2" high.  Top hole is about 6 1/2" high.

**Q: How far apart are the slats in inches?**
A: They are about 5" apart but there's like 13 of them, all steel, so it's quite supprtive.
