The Emitter is placed where it can deliver the signal to the component. That's it. It's entirely ridiculous that the instructions are so horrible and incomplete to make this process a research project. Never mind that Sewell customer support sent me a troubleshooting video instead of set up instructions, then they ignored all my follow up emails. A simple accurate description on desertcart and shipping the product with instructions would alleviate all this pain. (IR range?)** A: I have the ir blaster transmitter and receiver about 24 feet apart, and the ir transmitter about 10 feet from the equipment I control, and it works well.
