I got a local roaster to do a course grind. After putting the grounds in the stainless filter...fill the filter almost to the top with coffee) I slowly pour water over it until the beaker is almost full. Then let it sit out on the counter for 18 hours. It makes a nice concentrate that I can store in the fridge for a couple days. Good for blending with flavors and creamers for iced coffees or heating up for hot lattes. It takes a while to do a slow pour over but worth it to take the extra couple minutes. Also, a couple times in the 18 hours brew time, I give it a little swirl. Easy enough to do but does take planning, it's not an instant way, but is a good way of making great coffee drinks. I am a little less exact with my measurements as compared to my pour over or my aeropress but I’ve never been disappointed. The only issue I had at first was cleaning it but I just use a long handled brush and it cleans right up every time. My only issue is filling it with water through the grounds. I have to fill the grounds holder full to get the flavor I desire. That means I can only dribble the filtered water in.
