**Q: My switch has a white plastic pin that engages the ignition lock to turn the switch. I don't see that in the photos of this part. ???**
A: I think you are referring to the ignition switch actuator pin which is a separate part that connects to the ignition switch. I replaced both parts in my wrangler as when one goes the other typically goes bad. The part number for my application was 924-704. If your application is for a jeep wrangler there is a good YouTube video on how to replace both parts
