Milenco 2899 Universal Aero 4 towing mirrors, pack of 2, White

I was after a vibration free tow mirror for my Mk II Skoda Kodiaq and I wasn't disappointed. Well made and easy to fit (though I did purchase separately the revised rubber pads for my mirrors as advised by Milenco). Once fitted and adjusted, the mirrors can be unclamped and refitted without any need to adjust again. Visibility is brilliant and they give a true distance of any vehicle/object behind you.

The mirrors are not White if you're wondering! I know it says white in the title, but in fact they are black as described in the item description. Not sure why the seller has white written on the title... Anyway, regarding the mirrors... We're very impressed. They're easy to fit and very sturdy. We've tried the cheap halfords mirrors, and the middle of the range ones from Amazon <€50, but we weren't happy with any of them. They all vibrated so much above 20km/h that I found them distracting and irritating. Online reviews of the Milenco Aero 4 mirrors were very good so I figured we'd take a punt and buy the "most expensive" ones and see how we got on with those! I guess it's true that you get what you pay for. These mirrors only vibrate a very small amount, but you'd hardly notice it. Even at 80km/h. They clamp firmly onto my 2011 Audi A6 mirrors. No need for adaptors. All in all, I'm very happy with them. Its nice to have mirrors that we can actually see what's behind us at all speeds. I'm not a fan of the teardrop shape. I usually prefer the look of more conventional rectangular mirrors, but maybe the teardrop shape has everything to do with the Aero 4's stability at speed? I don't know, but I'm prepared to put up with a shape I dont really like because they actually work!

Good product, works well, good fittings. We might have chosen the square look one had we thought about it a bit more. Being able to see the nearside kerb/road edge is useful. Only fitting drawback is that you need to recreate the adjustments each time (or ignore the sequence for fitting the clamps then the mirror shaft:-)). GOOD STURDY DOESN'T VIBRATE.

Having tried several different types of towing mirrors over the years, I tried these. They were expensive and more than I usually want to pay however they are worth every penny. Sturdy fit and clamps well with very little vibration when travelling even when windy. Good view down the side of the caravan and road. However, the instructions were reasonably good but should they be fitted at the top or bottom? I have seen pictures of them fixed at the bottom. I tried both ways and found them more suitable for clamping at the top however the left nearside mirror the rod which has a bent shape was exactly identical as the drivers offside and the left hand side did not lend itself to fit well or get good vision. This was rectified by unscrewing the mirror and screwing it back on the opposite way. This meant the rods were symetrical to each other and the mirrors obtained the same great view. Shame Milenco did not make that suggestion in the instructions but all the same great mirrors.

Superb they work well

Bit unsure how sturdy these would be on my VW Sharan due to being xxl but got them because these were actually cheeper than the standard ones. Don’t wobble much at all and fit well, ordered the f pads to go with them as they are made to fit the VW mirrors better but took them out first time without as they hadn’t turned up at the time and the normal pads still work fine too. I replaced my suction mirrors as they are way too small for my liking and this isn’t the case with these, nice and big so plenty of vision. I was also a little concerned that they only fasten on with the two clamps stability wise but not a prob. They are perfectly stable and don’t move at all. When looking it was hard to find out if they’d fit on my Sharan so I leave the pictures so it will help others like me to be sure. Overall very happy with these mirrors, seem well made and stable maybe a little expensive for a pair of wing mirrors but if they work and stay on then I guess it’ll be worth it. Researching prior to buying the Milenco aero 3 seemed to be the best out of all so there you go and in comparison to other sellers these are pretty reasonable I’ve seen them £20 or so more elsewhere. Arrived fast too.

I have towed caravans for years (45!) and have used extension mirrors of different makes with some success but with my new car (DS4) which has teardrop shaped wing mirrors and I could not get the rubber band to hold the mirrors on without cable ties and bungy rubbers. I had looked around but dismissed this type of clamp on mirror and not being secure in the past but after asking around I decided to try a pair. A bit pricey I thought. Now I have tried them I found them easy to fit and rock solid when towing. If I ever need another pair these will be the type I will buy again!

Good stable mirrors

Nach dem Schock, dass mir die alten Spiegel bei der Autobahnfahrt einfach abgefallen sind, war ich auf der Suche nach einer wirklich zuverlässigen Lösung – und die Aero 4 XXL haben mich voll überzeugt! Die Montage ist super einfach, aber was wirklich zählt: Diese Spiegel sitzen extrem fest, selbst bei höheren Geschwindigkeiten auf der Autobahn. Kein Wackeln, kein Zittern, kein Risiko. Besonders praktisch finde ich, dass ich häufiger das Zugfahrzeug wechsle – und die Spiegel lassen sich problemlos mehrfach montieren, ohne an Halt oder Qualität zu verlieren. Klare Empfehlung für alle Camper, die sichere und stabile Spiegel suchen!

These are the BEST MIRRORS!!! Other mirrors vibrate so much at speed that they are worthless. These stay very steady so you can see what is going on behind you at speed. I gave a pair to my brother-in-law and he LOVES them. Best money I ever spent. Don't waste your money on others, just bite the bullet and buy these. Order a pair of extra pads just in case.
