How to Use the Noble Egg Timer Pro 1. Place the egg timer in the pot or saucepan with the eggs at the very beginning as shown in one of the pictures. The eggs can be straight out of the refrigerator.2. Watch the bright red color changing to white, passing through doneness levels as the water starts to boil. Check one of the pictures for a visual representation of the process.3. When the eggs reach the desired consistency, take out the egg timer and let it cool at room temperature. For soft boiled eggs and medium boiled eggs, cool down the eggs in cold water to prevent further passive cooking. Review: Does the job! - I love this thing. I tend to set my eggs to cook and forget about them and then have literally zero idea how long they've been cooking. This thing saves me from under cooked eggs, and warns me when I've overcooked them, and if I actually pay attention helps me get the absolute Perfect boiled eggs. The one I got the colouring is a bit off center but that doesn't prevent it from doing its job. It took me a few tries to figure out what level is exactly what I want in an egg. I find if I take them out when there's just the slightest hint of red in the middle its fully cooked, maybe even a little over cooked by the time you douse them in the ice bath but not to the point of being green or overly dry. I've never tried but I feel like if you took them out when it was in the soft boiled area, the whites wouldn't be fully set. Overall, it works exactly the way it needs to, but the eggs are a little more done than you might expect.

**Q: How long are each of the times?**
A: The time can vary case by case depending on how fast the water boils. That is why boiling eggs by counting seconds was always a hit or miss game. On the other hand, because the color of the egg timer changes based on water temperature, the egg timer delivers consistent results. For hard boiled eggs, as Michelle mentioned, just take the eggs out when the egg timer turns white. We recommend leaving hard-boiled eggs to cool at room temperature. **Q: How long are these expected to last? A couple months or a couple years?**
A: We expect NobleEgg Egg Timer Pro to last several years. This version was released in September 2019. During this period, we have had only a few reports about egg timers splitting along the seam line. This may be due to a hidden defect or not following the directions. However, all those customers that contacted us and some of those that we managed to contact via feedback, have received replacements. If you are having issues with your NobleEgg Timer(s), please reach out to us through direct messaging/email and we will send you a replacement. Otherwise we rarely can contact a customer via their feedback only.

**Q: I boil my eggs in the microwave. I’m assuming this won’t work for that, will it?**
A: You will not be able to see the egg timer when boiling eggs in the microwave oven. The egg timer does not produce any alarm sounds. You have to visually observe when the color changes to the desired marking to stop the cooking process. We did not design the egg timer to work in the microwave. Moreover, because a microwave works by a different principle and cooks an egg differently, we doubt that the egg timer would be accurate in this particular case.
