I realise this is down to my personal taste preferences but I was really disappointed with the product. It should be made more apparent in the product description/name as the licorice is definitely a stronger flavour than the turmeric! ### ⭐ Absolutely awful taste!! *by A***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 July 2019* Wow- where do I start?Ok- at the beginning!!Packaging looks ok but others commented on how cheap it looked, and let’s be honest it’s not cheap. Although confession here- it was bought for me to try!!It seems to mix well, and I found myself saying ‘I don’t know what others were having trouble with!’ But when I went to drink it , I found out exactly what others were talking about. Unseen lumps started to appear, like powder bubbles. These were NOT good!!!Taste- I’m sorry but this was absolutely awful!! I actually had Trouble swallowing it with out bringing it back up again!!! I’ve drank Matcha Tea quite a few times before but this was nothing like it!! The rest went into the bin after I let my lovely friend try a sachet first (well she did buy it for me!!). She’s a lover of all tea and matcha holds a special place in her heart but she couldn’t stomach it either and it went down the sink!!My advice- don’t buy and try a good traditional matcha tea to try!! ### ⭐⭐⭐ Lacklustre latte *by L***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 January 2018* Generally I love Teapigs’ products, enjoy the earthy flavour of matcha tea (a bit of an acquired taste) and turmeric so thought I would give these a try. I’ve not tried these types of sachets before but I do like to make up my own milky turmeric drink when I’m feeling a bit under the weather so am familiar with the non-coffee latte concept.I am a bit disappointed. Whilst turmeric and matcha might sound good on paper I am not sure they really translate into a tasty latte. Perhaps I’m using the wrong milk products (I drink a lot of organic soya milk and have also tried it with full-fat cow’s milk too) but I found that the flavour of the turmeric and matcha is quite subtle. Note that the packet does say that it can be used with any milk.The instructions are precise, whisk into a small amount of hot milk, and then add frothy milk on top. I don’t have the facilities to make frothy milk so just added hot milk on top. It is tricky to get the powder to completely dissolve (I only have a mini hand whisk) which may explain why I don’t get much of a flavour hit. It is, to be honest, quite a lot of faff for a bit of a lacklustre latte.I am presuming the pricing reflects the premium organic (Soil Association certified) ingredients which I would be happy to pay for if the flavour was worth it.
