I need to keep it next to my chicken coop and we get battered by rainstorms in the winter!** A: Ours has been kept outside for some time now and seems to be weatherproof. **Q: I probably need both of these and can you tell me can you lock them with a padlock?** A: Hi Yes, they are fitted with hasp and staple to make them pad-lockable. When it did arrive it wasn’t very well packaged (in that all the sheets are metal and are against each other without any protection between them, and there is no overall protection round the outer layer other than the thin cardboard box). As a result some of the metal was bent out of shape and there were some scratches. I had to hammer the metal back into shape in order for some of the screws to line up. See photos. That said, it’s a great feed bin and I managed to assemble it alone. I wasn’t too bothered about the damage because its being kept outside in all weathers, so the aesthetics are not important to me, and so far it is doing a great job of protecting our bird food and chicken feed and keeping it dry.
