After seeing how well they worked for her, I decided to order a set for my own house. I use mine in the cupboard under the stairs, and they’ve been perfect for creating extra storage space. They’re very easy to put together and don’t require complicated tools or instructions. What I really like is how flexible they are. You can buy multiple sets and connect them together, almost like a Lego-style system, which means you can build your storage to fit the exact space you have. You can make it as small or as large as you need, which is ideal for awkward spaces. I actually bought a smaller set from the same desertcart Basics range to fit the narrower end of the cupboard, so I can still access that area properly. I needed something under my stairs where its crazy messy and holds everything my garage used to, untill i moved to a house without one. Hence the messy MESSY photo. It has managed to tuck under the stairs in a space I couldn't use because of the slanted shape. It holds ALOT of stuff. Carpet cleaners, tools and random stuff i dont need often. I am looking forward to having a she'd build, so I can neatly place boxes/ jars in each cube and have it looking neat and tidy. When that happens I think ill buy another and build it like the picture to sit next to it. It is strong, as when I first built it up (alone) my 4 year old used it as a climbing frame and it didn't budge. It was easy to put together and was delivered really quickly. My husband would like a set to hang on the wall in his cabin to keep his motor bike helmets in too. So I will re order more, if a deal comes up on them. I do feel they should be a little bit cheaper as there isn't much to it, material wise. And since I built it, effort wise too. **Q: What size are the little squares in the grid panels?**
A: I just built a guinea pig cage with these. I bought the six square set. Each square in the cube is approximately 1.5 inches.

**Q: what are the dimensions of the individual cubes**
A: Great product, but you need 30.25 inches of real space to fit the cube’s  circular retainers.  I had 28.5 inches of real space and bought it on this basis. Luckily I was able to adapt, having bought two stacks to put one above the other. This gave me a couple of spares to cut and adapt to MY space.

**Q: How many connectors does it come with**
A: I needed more connectors to get more creative with the cubes. I found them on Amazon with the following link:

BE SURE TO USE A PLIER WITH GENTLE PRESSURE WHEN PRESSING CONNECTORS ONTO CORNERS.  When you hear a slight "pop," then it is secured.  Otherwise, the panel will come loose. I also use cable ties to add panels to the middle of some of the cubes. They really are terrific. I love the product (despite it's lack of useful instructions).

**Q: Are these cubes heavy duty enough for using as Bookshelf**
A: Yes, but when they say 15 pounds per cube they mean it. I weighed my books to be sure I only had 15 pounds, and a little bump knocked the shelf loose. I had to take out all the books and snap it together again. This is cheap and pretty, but not heavy duty.

I bought this Amazon Basics 4 Cube Wire Storage Shelf to help tidy up a cluttered corner in my home office that was becoming a bit of a dumping ground. It arrived well-packaged, and I had it fully assembled within about 15 minutes — no tools needed, just a bit of patience with the connectors. At 76.96 cm tall and wide, it’s compact enough to fit under windows or in narrow spaces, but each cube offers a decent amount of storage. I’ve currently got a mix of books, tech accessories, and a couple of storage baskets in mine, and it’s holding up well without any sagging. The wire shelves give it a light, modern look, and it doesn’t dominate the room like bulkier furniture tends to. What impressed me most was the modular design. You can build it in different configurations if you like — I went for the 2x2 cube layout, but it could easily be stretched vertically if space allowed. The black finish looks clean and goes with just about any décor. If there’s one downside, it’s that the wire base of each cube isn’t ideal for very small or thin items — they can wobble or slip through the gaps unless you use boxes or shelf liners.
