I use the M3's as my IEM for actual studio mixdown reference for production (in addition to traditional monitors) and they are the greatest headphones I own. These are not nearly as accurate as a pair such as the M3's but the build quality, and audio-to-value is still very high for the low price of $20. Bass is present and good all around, not boomy, mid's are there but not very strong, and high's are just a little overzealous at times - clear and loud, but not crystal clear. That being said, they still sound better than any other headphone i've heard in this price range. They fit extremely well, and the tips are a great feel much like all the other brainwavz pieces. The cable is made of the same feeling material as the factory iPod headphones, but has a little more length, which I like. Came with a shirt clip too, which is convenient when running or riding a bike. Sound isolation is fair. Packaging isn't as nice as more expensive models, but that was to be expected. Mostly I wear these while jogging and to listen to Netflix. I hadn't specifically noticed much difference between any earbuds before, even ones I had spent more money on. Let me get right to it: THESE ARE MUCH BETTER. I listened to a wonderful song with these as I opened the Panasonics. I was read to hear little if any difference. THE BRAINWAVZ ALPHAS were definitely better! I will be giving the Panasonics to my kids to play with. They can hit the LOW lows, and some very HIGH highs. All while somewhat maintaining an almost flat response.
