Makes beautiful airy ice cream. I wanted to try this as I had used the ones you have to put the tub in the freezer for 24 hrs before using. This has a compressor and works very well you don't have to wait to make. I'm so glad I bought this. I'm hoping it last for a long time. It just does such a good job. Seems to be in par with more expensive models. I really really like it. My family is so happy with the ice cream. A few of us can not have dairy, and store bought dairy is so full of sugar and other unwanted ingredients. I can make my own now and have dairy free delicious creamy ice cream. If you don't know how to do that, watch Nick on Polar ice creamery. He is a master ice cream maker and has all the answers for great ice cream. This machine has a much lower noise level then most. Its around 60db. First time using it tonight, I made blueberry ice cream, and it was done in 23 minutes. I used frozen wild blueberries that had been thawing in the fridge for a couple days, so that probably helped as they were still partially frozen. Clean-up was fairly easy as only two parts really needed it—the metal bucket and the mixer. Probably 4 1/2 stars, deducting a half star for the bulkiness. A basic recipe that will fit the machine without overflowing (it expands as it churns) is 3 cups of dairy (2 cups of heavy whipping cream + 1 cup or milk or 3 cups half and half, etc.) and 3/4 cups of sugar mixed in until sugar is dissolved. It makes making ice cream so easy and simple. The instructions were simple and not complicated, easy to understand. Machine is easy to operate and clean. It is much cheaper than the higher priced named brands. Vevor makes decent products at a lower price than competitors.So far there are no issues with the machine and it works as expected.It is very quiet and operates smoothly.I have wanted one of these compressor ice cream makers for 2 or 3 years now and I am really glad we found this one.I love the physical buttons, timer knob to increase or decrease the time. I also love the easy to read full size display menu.
