The most comfortable and ergonomic chair I've ever used!
The Haworth Fern Chair is easily the most comfortable and ergonomic chair I have ever sat in. From the moment I started using it, the difference was unmistakable. The seat has just the right balance of cushioning and support, and the flexible backrest adapts naturally to my posture throughout the day. Whether I’m leaning forward to focus or reclining slightly during long calls, the chair adjusts effortlessly without any pressure points. What truly sets the Fern apart is its exceptional ergonomic design. The lumbar support feels perfectly aligned, the armrests adjust smoothly, and the overall build quality is outstanding. I’ve noticed a significant reduction in back strain and fatigue, even on days when I’m sitting for several hours. If comfort, support, and long-term ergonomics matter to you, the Haworth Fern Chair is absolutely worth it. It has transformed my workspace and genuinely stands out as the best chair I’ve ever used.

Poor quality control on a $1400 chair
Received the product with the shipping box intact but the body of the product had marks, discolorations and scratches - as if it was already used. Don’t expect this from a $1400 chair - poor quality control at best or fraudulently selling used chairs back as new at worst. Edit: Now that I had more time to look into the chair after the delivery, I see that it’s actually just damaged. The right handle height control lever is broken. This chair just needs to be replaced.

Unacceptable quality
This chair should not be worth even 500 dollars, at most it's on par with something around 300 dollars. The comfort of the cushion is somewhat moderate. The padding is thin and I had this for several months and this chair does not get any better after usage, so don't believe those who tell you that you just have to wait for it to become softer. It doesn't. The back is more comfortable and has a few more options for configuration, so it's possible to set it up properly. I like the lumbar support, but your milage will vary depending on your build and other properties of your body and preferences. I can also see someone disliking the flexible back since it doesn't actually offer as much support when you heavily lean on it as it could with a rigid back. Finally, the biggest issue of this chair is the quality and assembly. While the materials themselves for the most part are fine, the assembly is just horrible. Since it comes preassembled, you don't need to waste time doing it yourself, but at the same time you can't fix it if you need to. There are various places where the chair wobbles, and not just the flimsy top part of the arm rests, but also the metal bottom part, because it was not screwed on properly. The issue with this also that you can't even tighten the screw yourself because it's positioned such that you would need special tools, which you might or might not have at home (a 90 degree screwdriver with a special size). In addition, the thread is coming out from my seat (see the photo) and if I pull on that thread, the whole stitch will come undone. And finally, after only a few months of use, the armrests are now showing damage from wear and tear. This is, frankly, unacceptable quality for the price of this chair. Sure, there is warranty, but I have not attempted to use it yet and I have big doubts about how the company would fix all these issues. Some of them would still be there even if I get a new chair. There are also sharp edges at the bottom of the metal part with wheels, which can hurt your feet if you touch the edge while not wearing socks or footwear. I was hoping to get a chair that will last me for a long time, but I very disappointed with what I got.

Perfect after some modifications
My DXRacer chair broke after 8 years so I figured this would be a nice upgrade. However, I have been using a headrest for years and couldn’t sit comfortably on this chair. Until I got the headrest from Atlas Headrest, then it’s so much better. Another issue I was having was the gap between the back and the seat. I’m 6 feet tall and have to move the seat all the way out resulting in the huge gap in the back, which made me feel like I was falling off in the back. I put an old headrest from my old chair in the gap so I can’t feel the gap anymore. Other than these two things, the chair is perfect. Very very comfortable. The seat was kind of hard at first, but softened significantly after a week.

Amazing chair
I did a lot a research on getting a high end chair for my office, and was a little nervous spending this kind of money on a chair, but after watching tons of videos and reading lots of reviews I decided to pull the trigger. Chair came quickly and first impressions of the chair itself was this thing is stunning for a chair! It’s very very attractive and once I sat down, I knew immediately I was happy with my purchase! Feels very solid and supports you in all the right places! I’m very very happy with this purchase.

Back is amazing but the seat is horrible
My Herman Miller Embody chair doesn't have enough lumbar support for me and I would like it to recline further. I went through several alternatives including the Destrier and now the Fern. The back and lumbar support of the Fern are amazing, it's like laying back on a cloud. The adjustable recline tension works well and adding the Atlas headrest is a must. The main problem is the seat and it's cushion. I weigh 190lbs and it feels like I am bottoming out the cushion. My butt bones ache after sitting in the Fern for even 30 min and it's hot - so very hot compared to the Embody. I ordered the Purple Royal Seat Cushion to see if it helps at all and will update after trying it, but this is ridiculous. Honestly I can't believe I paid this much for a chair with such a pathetic seat cushion - which if you slide it forward at all, you will easily feel the gap between the back and the seat. The Embody seat is amazing on your rear, but as I mentioned I wanted better lumbar support. I can't believe that as cushioned as the back is on the Fern that they would not do something similar for the seat, and instead put in such a poor piece of foam. Unfortunately, I'm trading back pain from the Embody for butt pain if I keep the Fern.

Make the investment. your butt will thank you
I upgraded to this chair from a store bought La-Z-Boy and oh man! the difference is night and day. I am at my desk for 8-10 hours a day and after 3 weeks, I can tell you that this is one of the best investments I've made to my studio. This thing is comfortable and can be adjusted easily to fit several different tasks I usually do. You also dont have to build this chair which makes it easier to get going. Literally comes prebuilt. I'm only 5'6 and it adjusts down low enough that my legs are level. It will go really high too so huge range of bodies would fit it. Last thing. It looks amazing. Like seriously, this thing is beautiful. Mine did come with a broken lever to adjust the arm height (I'm sure from poor shipping handling) but the seller immediately sent me not just 1 but 2 brand new arms for it. Gotta love it when a seller sticks the landing like that.

No
Wheels don't roll good. Lumbar support is very hard to adjust. The lever to raise and lower the seat started messing up after a week and a half. Unacceptable at any price, but for $1,600 it's ridiculous. I had to add a towel to the seat because it was so hard, but maybe that's what you're going for.
