I think I've only charged 3 times since i got it, maybe once every month or 2?. I'm on my computer 12 -14 hours a day. As far as changing a battery, I'd say it's probably not meant to have it changed, not sure if it's possible anyway, but i don't think it's meant for that. I love this mouse. **Q: Can the buttons be programmed?** A: Yes. You will download the logi software and all the buttons can be programmed to do several things.
