I’m looking for a light bat for intermediate play. Cheers!** A: There's little difference in the weight of any good table tennis bat. This bat has fast rubber and can apply a lot of spin. It's not the best for control and depending upon your skill level may prefer one with more control. If you want a really light weight bat you will need to go for a carbon fibre blade and pay a lot for it. I regard myself as a fair player but would never describe myself as a good one.
