Set it up in seconds - using the onboard mini switches - for either two tone controls, or for blender wiring.TWO TONE CONTROLS This scheme is like a conventional Strat, but unlike a conventional Strat, you can assign the two tone controls (T1 and T2) to the pickups in several different ways. T1 can be for neck, with T2 for the middle, like a vintage Strat. Or T1 can be neck, with T2 assigned to both the middle and bridge. You can even configure it with T1 for the neck and T2 for the bridge, with no tone for the middle (like the Eric Johnson Strat).And you can also choose from different built-in capacitor values - for each tone control - to customize how much or how little treble rolloff occurs when you roll down the tone controls. Pretty cool.BLENDER WIRING Blender wiring allows you to combine the neck and bridge together, or to get all three pickups on. But rather than just bringing a pickup 100% into or out of the mix, like a switch would do, we use a pot, so you can mix in the neck (or the bridge, depending on the 5-way position) allowing you to get subtle tonal shadings not available any other way!We’ve also built in a treble bleed network, which you can choose to have enabled or bypassed. Without it - and in guitars traditionally - lowering the volume to, say, five, would bring along a tonal change to accompany the volume drop. The treble frequencies would be attenuated, making the tone a little dull. The treble bleed addresses this pretty effectively, keeping your tone more consistent when you adjust your volume.
