## Description

Two-Pack of AmmoGarand USGI pattern Two Point OD Cotton Web Slings. Our US made Sling is probably the best and most accurate copy of the original USGI Web Sling used from WWII through Vietnam. We produce these ourselves in the USA since none of the repros out there have been good enough! The AmmoGarand M1 Garand Sling is produced to the original USGI Specs in the USA with proper 40's - Vietnam era OD Green color cotton web and MILSPEC Parkerized hardware just like the originals. Sling is approximately 48 inches long and will fit all Rifles with 1-1/4 inch wide swivels which we also offer separately. See Buckle picture for important step removing Webbing from Buckle Tabs, BEFORE pulling tabbed end through Buckle Clamp, this will ensure you don't tear off Tab.

Review: Great sling. Good deal. - I carried an M1 and M14 during my 8 years in the USMC and the two rifles' slings looked to me to be identical. They appeared to have been made out of canvas similar to our pyramid tents. Like the tents, those slings from 55 years ago had the same odor of acrid mildew. There wasn’t much we could do about the tents but the slings got washed until the odor was barely noticeable.. Washing the slings also made them softer and easier to deal with. I ordered two of these M1 slings for two 870 Express 12 gauge shotguns, a Tactical with an 18” barrel and 6 round magazine tube and a Super Magnum with a four round magazine tube. The slings look nice, feel nice, and they don’t have that heavy canvas odor I remember so well or, for that matter, no discernible odor.. Each 870 has a sling swivel stud on the magazine caps and the Tactical has a fitting to install a sling swivel on its butt but the Super Magnum didn’t. I installed a wood screw type sling swivel stud on the Super Magnum’s butt end. Then I attached two sling per shotgun. When it was time to put on the slings, I recalled my drill instructor saying if the J hook won’t go on and the tip won’t go through the keeper, spit on them and they’ll go on just fine. I remember there being more to this, something about Rosie, someone whom drill instructors spoke about a lot, but that's for another time and place. Rather than using saliva, I sprayed the tips, keepers and J hooks with a little 100% silicone spray. The J hooks snapped on to the butt’s sling swivel with no problems and the slings' tips were easy to slide through the keepers. I took the Super Magnum out yesterday and carried it at "sling arms" for about a half mile. The sling was very comfortable, strong and easily adjusted. The only way I can think of improving this sling is to offer it for free.
Review: Outstanding USGI-style reproduction sling. - Outstanding sling. Just like original USGI only 75 years newer. Highly recommend.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is 1-1/4 inches the cotton sling width, or the width of the hardware? The stock hardware on my Mini-14 is about 1 to 1-1/8 inches wide, will this fit?**
A: J-hooks will only fit with swivels that are 1-1/4 inch so spring J-hook has to be removed and just webbing run thru small swivels of commercial mini-14s. Ruger 10/22 and mini -14s have 1-Inch swivels so to avoid replacing those just run web without spring J-hook. If trouble fitting tabbed sling end thru small commercial swivel, fold tab 45 degress and it will pass thru mini-14 1-inch swiv's without having to change them out. AmmoGarand

**Q: Is a black/green combo available?**
A: Not as a combo, only seperate if mixing colors

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great sling. Good deal.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding USGI-style reproduction sling.

Outstanding sling. Just like original USGI only 75 years newer. Highly recommend.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ As good or better than USGI
*by J***L on March 29, 2024*

It's rare a remake is as good as the originals, but these are absolutely as good if not even better than US issued slings. They are heavy duty, made well, and look great. I use these slings on everything that will fit them. Not fancy, but easy to adjust and does everything a good sling should. Works great on old milsurps as well as modern rifles. I've bought about 6 of them and absolutely love them.
