## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can i use this for Nixtamalization?**
A: Yes you can use it but you would need to use potassium hydroxide as well

**Q: What is the percent of potassium?**
A: Potassium Carbonate has a chemical form of K2CO3 with a molar mass of 138.205g/mol. Potassium is 39.098g/mol. Since you got two K the percent potassium is 2 * 39.098 / 138.205 = 56.58% potassium when measured by mass (or weight).

**Q: How much should i add to 1 galon of water to make a solution similar to general hydroponics ph up?**
A: There is no set answer for this. Type of water will you are buffering will determine what the needed ratio would be. That said this is very strong and even after adding all my needed nutes ( I mix strong, cal mag, 0-10-10,etc.) I use 1- 1½ tsp per gallon which brings my ph into the normal range. I use distilled or rainwater. Its very strong stuff and well worth the savings vs ph up/down.

**Q: Seller, is this k2co3? thanks**
A: To our knowledge, yes, this is. This is a food grade Potassium Carbonate primarily used in beer & wine making manufactured by Armand Products Company. You can go to their website for further specs.
