I'd like to use my harmony hub to control it but it only controls IR wireless devices.** A: These remote control outlet switches use RF wireless. **Q: do they sell the remote I lost one off mine** A: The remote is not sold separately. **Q: I only need a no y81 remote 23a 12v, is this possible?** A: By all means! Just kidding--I have no idea what you are asking. These are great switches that are designed to be used in regular home receptacles. Any other use is probably not wise. **Q: can you use them outside** A: never tried, but not recommended. They don't last forever- typically mine short out about every 3 years with regular use. I don't think the condensation would allow the sensors to last as long. We have three flower shaped wall mount accent lights in the room which we've plugged into the three outlets. We've mounted one remote by the door with Velcro and the other remote at the head of their bunk bed. Now the kids can turn on and off any or all of the three accent lights either coming and going into the room or from their bed.
